Korean meatballs

Recipe for meatballs with an Asian touch - a fine party snack.

Even if you know rissoles or meatballs, the Asian touch of these meatballs is really delicious. The meat is seasoned with Sriracha and soy sauce, which makes the meatballs especially spicy and juicy. They are also great as a party snack. They are cooked in the oven, which makes the recipe quick and easy.

Ingredients (for approx. 40 pieces):

Meatballs:
800 g minced pork, mixed or minced beef
5 spring onions
60 g panko or breadcrumbs
4 cloves of garlic
2 eggs
3 tbsp Sriracha sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
15 g ginger chopped
Salt
Pepper

For the sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
½ tsp gochujang paste

Further ingredients:
1 chilli pepper
some roasted sesame seeds

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Chop the spring onions finely, leave them a little coarser if you like. Keep a little of the leafy greens for later.
Peel the garlic and chop it finely.

Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs together and season with salt and pepper.
Shape the mixture into meatballs.

Mix the ingredients for the sauce and glaze the meatballs with it. The rest of the sauce will be added later.
Cook the meatballs in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.

Decorate the Korean meatballs with the green spring onions, the chillies and the toasted sesame seeds. Serve with rice.
