Red Tabasco Chili Flakes

The Tabasco chilli is known primarily as the basis of the world-famous Tabasco sauce from McIlhenny.

However, also as chili flakes the Tabasco is a real all-round star in the kitchen, because it adds heat but not too much own flavour to the dishes. Tabasco chillies have a balanced "chili flavor", straight and without sweetness or bitterness. The typical fruity and slightly smoky flavour goes well with Tex-Mex dishes, but also with hearty stews and casseroles, chili con carne, goulash and red meats. 

But be careful, this South American tabasco is considerably hotter than the commonly-known variety from the USA. 100,000 Scoville heat units – extremely hot. Supplied in a refill bag.
