Little Finger Orange Chili Seeds
Info: The Little Finger Orange Chili belongs to the Capsicum baccatum species (in South America it is also often called Aji) and, as is typical for this species, is a very fast and large growing plant. If you prefer a bushier growth, you should trim the upper shoots at an early stage. The plants tolerate our climate better than the tropical chili varieties. The plants develop numerous pretty orange coloured "fingers", which have a medium level of spiciness. Due to their fruity flavour they are suitable for salsas and sauces, and are also good dried.
Care: The germination temperature is between 20 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost. If you plant them outdoors, the plants shopuld have a distance between them of at least 50 cm.
