Aji Ecuadorian Red Chili Seeds
Info: The Aji Ecuadorian Red Chili is from the Capsicum baccatum species. Typical for this type is the branched and protruding growth and a long flowering period with an abundant harvest. The fruits are long with a rounded tip, approx. 3 x 5 cm long, and ripen to an intense red. They are very juicy with an excellent fruity flavour and are good for hot sauces, pickling and drying. The Aji Ecuadorian Red is very popular as a powder in Peruvian and Bolivian cuisine.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
