Coriander Cilantro Seeds
Info: Coriander Cilantro is a special strain for use as leaf coriander: it forms many delicate leaves and seed maturity occurs late. The taste of the leaves is mild. Perfect for the Indian, Oriental and Asian cuisine. The plant is also quite frost hardy and can overwinter under a mulch cover, if it was sown or planted in autumn. Will also produce aromatic seeds.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow the seeds indoors 1cm deep into 7cm pots containing normal potting compost (later transplant into 20 cm pots) or outdoors in rows 30 cm apart in ordinary garden soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Coriander plants do best in a hot, sunny spot on normal garden soil which can also be e little more sandy or limy. Thin out the seedlings to 20 to 25cm apart. Water regularly and feed them with a bit of liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks. Coriander leaves will be ready to harvest in about 1,5 months. The seeds are ready to harvest when they begin to turn brown. Coriander repels harmful insects such as aphids, spider mites and potato beetle.
