Davis UC 82 Tomato Seeds

Info: The tomato `Davis UC82` is a new breed of the University of California in Davis. It produces medium-sized (about 70 - 80 g weighing), oval, bright red tomatoes, which are very tasty and sweet. The tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption in salads as well as for making sauces. The plants grow relatively compact and are resistant to many diseases.

Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. Cover the seeds only slightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.

Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
