Black Opal Tomato Seeds

Info: The `Black Opal` tomato is a wonderful novelty that can compete with other gourmet tomatoes. Here, the emphasis was on the taste - and indeed, the mirabelle-sized, chocolate brown tomatoes have a delicious pure tomato flavour. The plants are robust and prolific and the tomatoes grow on heavy panicles with 12 or more fruits. The tomatoes are suitable for fresh food, salads or sauces.

Care: You can grow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. Cover the sseds only slightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.

Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
