Ventura OChicco Tomato Seeds

Info: The Ventura OChicco is a vigorous and productive plant that produces huge amounts of bright red, tasty plum tomatoes. Under optimal conditions the plants can reach a height up to 2 metres. For best results in yield, remove side shoots and restrict the plant to one main stem. Provide support and tie in regularly. The tomatoes are excellent for fresh use, in salads as well as for sauces and canning.

Care: You can grow the Ventura OChicco tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.

Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
