Broad Bean Grano Violetto Winter Hardy Seeds
Info: Grano Violetto Winter Hardy is a unique, early maturing, Italian broad bean. It is a very winter hardy variety and therefore ideal for a culture in the cold months. The high-yielding plants form 24cm long pods containing up to 8 beans. They are excellent for preserving and freezing. The beans are an excellent source of vitamin C, folic acid and fiber.
Sowing & cultivation: Broad beans are best suited to a cool climate, so sowing can start from end of March to May outdoors. Before sowing, soak the seeds in water for one day. Sow in rows 50 cm apart 4 - 6 cm deep, 20 cm apart in the row. Broas beans need a good, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny location.
