Lettuce All Year Round Seeds

Info: `All Year Round` is a classic Butterhead lettuce, with medium sized loosely formed heads, soft, buttery-textured green leaves and compact, crisp hearts. It is no common `supermarket` variety, but rather a proper lettuce with an exquisite flavour unavailable from anywhere but from your own vegetable patch. As the name suggests, this is a lettuce that can be gown throughout the year, for a permanent harvest, sow successively from March to August.

Sowing & cultivation: Sow outdoors successively between March to August. Seed depth 6 - 12 mm in short rows about 20 - 30 cm apart. When the seedlings are about 2cm tall, thin them out. A rich soil is excellent for lettuce, but the crop will also do well in average garden soil. Fertilize the soil with compost or horn meal before sowing. Watering is essential, the plants need almost constantly moist ground as dry soil will cause the plants to put their energy into producing flowers.
