Squash Tromboncino d`Albenga Seeds

Info: `Tromboncino d`Albenga` is a special type of squash that is courgette-like with long, curved, bell ended fruit up to 1 metre in length, but best harvested when about 30cm long. Then the fruits will be at their most sweet, tender and nutritious stage. It is a vigorous climbing plant highly suitable for training over a pergola or any available means of support.

Sowing & cultivation: Pumpkin plants need a lot of space as creeping plants and a good nutrient supply. The soil should therefore be profound and nutritious. From mid-May can be sown directly into the open field. Depending on the variety a plant needs up to 2m² of space. Abundant irrigation is very important, especially in the beginning. A typical pumpkin problem are snails. Try as protection a thick ring of sawdust around the young plant. It should be fertilized with a few horns, four weeks later with full fertilizer. The harvest begins in September and lasts until the frost.
