Spinach New Zealand Seeds
Info: Originally from Australia and New Zealand, the summer spinach has been highly prized in Europe`s native gardens since the 18th century. Unlike conventional spinach, the New Zealander does not shoot in the heat and can therefore supply fresh vegetables for a long time. It can be eaten raw as a salad or cooked like spinach. The leaves are also ideal as a filling or in a vegetable casserole.
Sowing & cultivation: Spinach should ideally be grown in a pre-culture in the house starting in March. From mid-May you can singulate the plants in pairs on 2m². The growth starts quite slowly, but then increases significantly. We recommend a sunny location with good water and nutrient supply. But even worse conditions do not keep him from a proper growth. Due to its soil-covering habit, it is also ideal as an underplant for other vegetables.
