Black Kampot peppercorns

Black Kampot pepper is a flavourful and precious pepper from Cambodia, and is referred to as the "Gold of Cambodia". It is only cultivated in small amounts, and is named after its main area of cultivation, the coastal region of Kampot. It is characterised by its fresh flavour with a lemony note and thus harmonises well with fish and seafood.

Many batches come from the neighbouring country of Vietnam via Cambodia to Europe. These batches are, however, not genuine Kampot Pepper, which has received the Geographical Indications (GI) regional seal of approval from the World Trade Organisation. Therefore this variety is only available seasonally.
