Bucatini

Bucatini are thicker spaghetti with a hole (ital .: "buco") from which the name derives. In Germany, they are often referred to as macaroni.

They can be combined with a Sugo alla Carbonara or a spicy Sugo all`Amatriciana (with bacon, tomatoes, pecorino, peperoncini and olive oil), used for Pasta alla Norma (sicilian aubergine sauce) or for casseroles.

Cooking time 10 - 12 minutes.
Make the bite test just before the end of the cooking time: Bucatini are perfect when they are no longer hard, but just still al dente.
