NuMex Centennial Chili Seeds

Info: The NuMex Centennial is a new breeding from the New Mexico State University (NuMex) which was bred for the 100th anniversary of the University in 1988. It has an unusual shape for a chili, with round, sometimes drop-shaped fruits, and an extraordinary colour sequence from violet to orange to red. The plants are bushy, reach up to approx. 70 - 80 cm in height, and are especially good for cultivation in pots or containers. The numerous colourful fruits are very eye-catching on the balcony or in the garden.

Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (10 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
