Slim and healthy with the Chili smoothie
Spicy green smoothie with Chili and Ginger
Green smoothies are currently on everyone’s lips. They provide the body with important nutrients and also taste good (the spinach is almost masked by the intense fruit flavours).
In a diet a green smoothie replaces a complete meal. The body is supplied with essential vitamins and nutrients, and all this with very few calories. In addition, the spiciness of chili and ginger dampen the feeling of hunger and the smoothie acts as a appetite suppressant. And this is all completely natural!
Ingredients
1 small apple
½ banana
1 orange
1 small pear
60 g Spinach (fresh or frozen leaf spinach)
1 small Chili (spiciness according to your preference)
approx. 2 cm ginger
Preparation:
Peel the ginger and cut it into narrow strips. Remove the stem and the seeds from the chili and chop it finely. Wash and clean the spinach, peel the banana and the orange, remove the cores from the apple and the pear, and cut all the fruit into approx. 2 cm large pieces.
Put all the ingredients in a smoothie mixer, fill it with water and puree the ingredients. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
This amount makes an approx. 700 ml smoothie.
Tips:
- Fresh chillies can be bought in our Shop: Jalapeño and Serrano for those who are not used to eating spicy chillies, Cayenne and Habaneros for the Chili-Heads.
- If you don’t want to include any greens, just leave out the spinach and enjoy a spicy fruit smoothie. Due to the spiciness this has the same appetite suppressing effect.
- By the way, if you cannot get any fresh European apples and pears during the summer months, you can substitute these with peaches, melon, strawberries or mango.
