Goat`s Cheese and Red Onion Tart
Recipe for for a simple, quick and very tasty sweet-salty-hot goat`s cheese tart
Preparation time approx. 25 min.
Ingredients (serves 4-6):
227g jar of Red Onion Relish
100g goat`s cheese, crumbled
320g ready roll puff pastry
1 small egg, beaten
few sprigs of fresh thyme
Directions:
Pre heat oven to gas 6/200°C/ 392°F.
Place pastry on a clean kitchen counter and unroll the pastry.
Score a one-inch border around the pastry and prick the inside border with a fork. This helps the inside of the tart not to puff up when cooking.
Spread the Red Onion Relish evenly within the border and crumble the goat`s cheese and scatter some fresh thyme on top.
Brush the pastry border with egg.
Place the tart on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
Serve immediately.
