Oimbra de Orense Chili Seeds
Information: The Oimbra de Orense Chili is an elongated, bright red ripening sweet pepper from Spain. The pods reach lengths of 10 to 20 cm and are thick-walled and juicy with a fruity taste. Traditionally, the pods are harvested green and may only then get the protected geographical indication of origin "Pimiento de Oimbra". The peppers taste particularly good when roasted, but are also suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for stews and for stuffing.
Care: Germination temperature is between 22°C and 28°C (germination period: 8-21 days); it is therefore recommended to use a greenhouse and a heating mat. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
