Naga Jolokia Chili Seeds
Info: The Naga Jolokia is a close relative and regional variety of the Bhut Jolokia, which was the hottest chilli in the world for a long time (2007 to 2011). The approx. 7 cm long, elongated chillies ripen from green to orange to red, have an irregular surface and a fruity-aromatic flavour. They are in no way inferior to their famous relatives in their fiery heat. They also need a lot of warmth for cultivation, and the pods have a very long ripening time, so it can take 160 days from sowing to harvesting.
The fruits are suitable for making hot sauces, for cooking, seasoning and drying. Please wear gloves when processing.
Care: The germination temperature is between 24 und 30°C (12 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. As the plants have a fairly long ripening period, you should cultivate them in pots so that you can bring the plants indoors when the temperature drops below 12°C during the day so that all the fruits can ripen. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
