Long Red Cayenne Chili Seeds
Info: The Cayenne Chili is one of the most widespread chili varieties worldwide, and is a real spice classic. The Cayenne originally comes from Latin America and is primarily sold in our region as Cayenne Pepper. However, the name is somewhat misleading, as it is not black pepper, it is a chili powder.
There are numerous varieties of the original Cayenne Chili, among them the Long Red Cayenne Chili. The bushy, approx. 75 cm large plants produce numerous long peppers which have an fantastic flavour and are excellent dried and made into a chili powder.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
