Earbob Chili Seeds
Info: The Earbob Chili is a variety from the Capsicum baccatum species. Typical for this type are the large branched plants which can develop numerous cherry-sized, oval shaped red fruits. The chillies are relatively thick-fleshed, and have a sweet flavour, typical of the Baccatum variety, and a medium level of spiciness. The fruits are fantastic when pickled or stuffed with cream cheese, but are also good for cooking and drying.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (8 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
