Aji Cachucha Chili Seeds
Info: The Aji Cachucha Chili is a mild chili which is used in many Caribbean dishes. In Puerto Rico it is also called Ajicito and in Cuba Aji Dulce. The bushy and compact plants reach a height of approx. 60 - 80 cm. The approx. 3 x 4 cm large fruits are beautifully-shaped and resemble a lantern or a flower. They ripen to a shiny bright red and have a fruity flavour and a mild to medium level of spiciness. They are usable in a variety of ways, for fresh consumption as well as for cooking, drying and stuffing with cream cheese.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
