Broome Pepper Chili Seeds
Info: The Broome Pepper Chili originates from Broome in Australia and is a rarely offered variety here. The chilies do not only look unusual, they also have an unusual flavour and are a must for chili enthusiasts. The long, almost rectangular peppers grow on the bushy plants and ripen to a shiny red. They have a juicy and crunchy fruit flesh and a lightly sour grape flavour - very unusual for a chili. The spiciness comes quickly, but it remains at a moderate level, making this type also suitable for those who don’t tolerate spiciness so well. The Broome Pepper Chili can be used in a variety of ways: for cooking, stuffing, grilling, pickling and drying.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.
