NuMex Pinata Chili Seeds
Info: The NuMex Pinata Chili is a new jalapeno variety bred by the New Mexico State University. It is tasty and slightly hotter than other Jalapeno varieties. Its special feature is the nice colour play while ripening: from green to yellow and orange to red. Usually all stages of maturity are similar on the plants which makes them a beautiful eye-catcher in the garden or on the balcony. The fruits can be eaten in all colours and are suitable for grilling, filling, for sauces and salsas and for drying.
Care: The germination temperature is between 20 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
