NuMex Pumpkin Spice Chili Seeds
Info: The NuMex Pumpkin Spice Chili is a breeding from the New Mexico State University creating three new Jalapeño varieties: this one, the Pumpkin Spice being the mildest, with Lemon Spice and Orange Spice being the hottest. The thick-fleshed and juicy orange pods have a medium heat of about 22,000 SHU. They grow to about 6 cm long and offer a nice contrast to the dark green leaves. The plants grow rather compact on small stems and reach a height of about 60 cm.
Care: The germination temperature is between 20 und 28°C (7 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
