Australian Lantern Chili Seeds
Info: The Australian Lantern Chili is a variation of the Capsicum chinense and gets its name due to its orange peppers which resemble small lanterns. The plants are bushy and reach up to 90 cm in height. The chilies are very spicy and have a fruity flavour, as is typical for this type. They are suitable for making hot sauce. They are also easy to dry and can then be made into a delicious chili powder.
Care: The germination temperature is between 21 und 28°C (7 - 20 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
