Habanero Red Savina Chili Seeds
Info: The Habanero Red Savina CHili was the world record holder for the hottest chili for a very long time (1994 - 2006). It was bred by a company in South California for Capsaicin extraction, and the breeder named it after his mother-in-law. With a heat level of more than 500,000 SHU it also should be handled with care. The plants are very heat-loving, productive and grow bushy up to 1 meter in height. The pods have the typical tropical fruity flavour of the Capsicum chinense species. They harmonise particularly well with fruity sauces and salsas, as well as with tropical fruits and they are very suitable for drying and chili powder production.
Care: The germination temperature is between 22 und 28°C (8 - 21 day germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil, and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more. Put the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
Tips for successful chili cultivation can be found in our Chili Cultivation Instructions and in the Chili Diary.

Schärfe enttäuschend gering
Die Red Savina hat mich leider enttäuscht, die Chili waren kaum schärfer als Thai Chili, kein Vergleich zur Habanero Red. Sehr fruchtiges Aroma, deutlich herauszuschmecken.
