Columbine McKana`s Giant Mix Seeds
Info: The Columbine McKansas Giant Mix comes from the USA and is a beautiful mixture of different colored columbines. In Europe, columbine was already a popular plant in local herb gardens in the Middle Ages. Today the undemanding plant with its colourful, filigree flowers is a popular accent in the gardens. The plants grow to a height of approx. 30 - 60 cm.
Sowing & cultivation: From the end of April, the seeds can simply be spread loosely. Between October and March the perennials can also be propagated vegetatively by division. Aquilegia likes both sunny and semi-shade locations and needs a well-drained and nutrient-rich soil which should be as calcareous as possible. In case of prolonged drought, the plants must be watered. Strong root competition tends to make columbines less likely at their location.
