Stock Night Scented Seeds
Info: This variety is called Night Scented Stock because the flowers emit a strong scent at night. The plants are fairly low in stature, growing 45 to 60cm tall with pink flowers.
The flowers open in the late afternoon to evening and emit a most delightful fragrance. The scent has been compared to vanilla, rose, spice and even cloves however one thing is certain, once you experience it in your own garden it will become a summer fragrance you will never want to be without.
Stocks are typical flowers for the farmer`s garden and have been known in Europe since the 16th century. It originates from the Mediterranean and even the Romans have cultivated them in their gardens. They are cultivated here for one year because overwintering is not so easy. Stocks are also popular as cut flowers and because of their sweet smell.
