Carnation Scarlet Red Seeds

Info: Carnation Scarlet Red is a very popular, bright red variety, which sets beautiful colour accents in the garden. This sturdy variety produces an abundance of stunning double frilly Scarlet Red flowers on strong 50 cm stems. They will look lovely in the garden or in the vase. Scarlet Carnations are the most fragrant of the carnation species with their spicy clove-like aroma.

Carnations originate from the Western Balkans and are small perennial perennials. In Central Europe, however, they are mainly cultivated only for one year.

Sowing & care: Sowing starts in pre-culture from March in pots or trays. Only cover lightly with soil, press and keep moist. From mid-May, plant out at a spacing of 20-25 cm. The flowers become larger when the side buds are broken out. Carnations prefer a sunny location and a nutrient-rich soil.
