Larkspur Seeds
Info: For many centuries larkspur has been one of the most popular perennials in the classic cottage garden. They bloom with impressive flower panicles in sky blue, which can grow up to 150 cm high. Since they bloom from June onwards at about the same time as most rose varieties, they are often planted together with roses. Also well suited as a cut and dry flower.
Sowing & care: Either in pre-culture from March or directly outdoors from May. Since the plants can grow quite large, they should have a minimum distance of 50 cm. Larkspur likes a sunny place with "shady feet" on a loamy, humus-rich soil. Always keep a little moist. Large inflorescences can be protected from buckling with a planting rod. To stimulate a second flower, cut the shoots back to a hand`s width above the ground after the main flower in early summer.
