Sunflower Indian Blanket Seeds
Info: Sunflower Indian Blanket forms lovely bi-colour blooms in a host of warm shades of deep golds and rusty reds. Many of the multi-branching heads have a prominent central `boss`, and a double ring of fluffy petals making them look like almost semi-double.
Sunflowers are grateful and undemanding garden flowers, which are particularly beautiful as background plants. These vibrant blooms are also known to attract an array of beneficial insects to the garden as well, such as butterflies, bumblebees, honeybees and birds.
Sowing & care: Sowing takes place directly from April outdoors. Sowing depth is about 1cm at a distance of 40-60 cm. A pre-culture in the house is also possible and brings an earlier bloom. Sunflowers like a sunny, wind-protected location and a loamy, nutrient-rich garden soil, which may also contain some sand for better drainage. They do not like waterlogging because then they tend to root rot. Sunflowers need many nutrients and are grateful for fertilizer or nettle liquid manure.
