Straw Flower Tom Thumb Mix Seeds
Info: Straw Flower Tom Thumb Mix is a colourful addition to any border with bright flowers held above the main foliage, although its primary attraction is for drying its everlasting flowers. The plants grow dwarf (up to 50 cm in height) but prolific and are ideal for borders, balcony boxes and pots. Pick when foliage is quite dry and the flowers are well open, tie in small bunches and hang upside down in a dry, well ventilated place until dry.
Sowing & care: Sow late Febuary indoors or from end of April outdoors in a fine seed compost on the surface and gently firm down. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant (10 cm apart) and gradually acclimatise to outside conditions planting out after the last frost. Straw flowers like a full sunny location and a well-drained soil.
