Tagetes Kilimanjaro African Seeds
Info: Tagetes (Marigold) Kilimanjaro African is a distinctive white variety producing an abundance of delightful creamy white medium sized flowers on strong stems (50 cm tall).
Tagetes is native to Mexico and Central America and one of the most popular annual flowers on earth.
When you plant marigolds in your vegetable patch, the poison of their roots effectively destroys threadworms. However, the flowers are particularly popular with slugs. You can therefore also plant them in salad beds to distract slugs from salads. However, if you don`t remove the slugs quickly enough, there won`t be much of the tagetes left.
Sowing & care: Sowing can be started indoors from Febuary or directly outdoors from April. Tagetes is a light germinator and the seeds should therefore only be lightly pressed on the soil. Tagetes loves a location with full sun and a nutrient-rich, fresh garden soil.
