Viola cornuta Helens Mount Johnny Jump Up Seeds
Info: Viola Helens Mount Johnny Jump Up has pansy-like, but daintier, very decorative, three-coloured flowers in yellow, lavender and purple.
Viola Cornuta is a tender herald of spring and stands out for its variety of colours and its long flowering period. It is smaller and more dainty than pansies and reaches growth heights of 15 to 20 cm. It is particularly useful in shady areas, beds, borders, interplanted with spring flowering bulbs, containers and rock gardens and especially as underplanting for larger plants. Flowers are edible.
Sowing & care: For earliest colour, sow seeds in warmth 6 to 8 weeks before last frost or later directly outdoors covering seeds lightly with fine soil. Viola cornuta likes sunny to semi-shady locations and a normal, loose, slightly moist garden soil. In favourable locations it will happily self seed if left alone.
