Zinnia Peppermint Stick Seeds
Info: Zinnia Peppermint Stick is an unusual and stunning colour combination producing 5 cm cream to yellow blooms all striped in different shades of Red, Purple, Rose or Orange. Every bloom is slightly different.
Zinnias are easy to cultivate delivering a fantastic and colourful display all summer if you remove faded blossoms regularly. They are also excellent cut flowers for colourful summer bouquets. In addition, zinnias as popular farm garden flowers provide food and nectar for insects such as bees, bumble bees and butterflies.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow thinly under-cover from mid-March in good quality seed compost. Only lightly cover the seeds with soil and keep them evenly moist. After the last frosts and when large enough to handle thin & transplant to trays and grow on under cooler conditions. For a bushy growth, pinch back young plants. Zinnias prefer a sunny, wind-protected location on a normal, loamy soil. They also cope well with short dry periods and you should avoid waterlogging.
