Neem Cake 2 kg
Neem press cake for healthy plants and as fertilizer
Ecological, bee-friendly, biodegradable
Neem cake is made from peeled and pressed Neem seeds (also called "Niem") and is produced during the extraction of Neem oil.
If you mix neem cake with potting soil or work it into the garden soil, it is enriched with calcium, nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium and fertilizing salts. Neem also contains the substance azadirachtin, which is approved for organic farming.
In the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America, Neem is traditionally used against parasites in domestic animals such as ticks, lice, fleas or intestinal parasites. In agriculture and horticulture it is the universal plant-strengthening and disease-repellent effect of Neem that many cultures use. For example, Indian farmers use ground Neem seeds or Neem press cakes not only to enrich the soil, but also to expel and ward off insect pests such as caterpillars, beetle larvae, grasshoppers, cicadas, leaf miners, aphids and bugs.
Use:
- in potting soil: 5-10 g per kg of soil
- Flower and vegetable beds, lawns & green areas: rake 100 g per m² lightly into the soil. If the soil is already infested 200 g/ m².
- Neem water: 30 g Neem press cake in 1 l water (60-65°C warm). Stir well and allow to cool before pouring.
In Germany, Neem cake is approved for organic farming!
