Perlite soil conditioner for an airy soil

Perlite is a naturally occurring, volcanic material. After intense heating, it becomes white and porous and resembles crumbled polystyrene. The perlite is mixed into the soil to make it more airy, so that the roots of the plants are better supplied with oxygen.
This helps seeds to germinate faster and young plants to take root better.

To provide the soil with ideal moisture, you can also add vermiculite to the soil in addition to the perlite.
Mix two parts of soil with one part of perlite and one part of vermiculite.
