Lemongrass Seeds
Info: Lemongrass is a plant from the family of sweet grasses. As the name suggests, the grass smells slightly of lemon. Also the taste is lemon-like and refreshing. Used as spice, the grass is found in the Asian kitchen. Whether soup, fish, meat, salads, curry or rice, lemongrass can be used in almost every Asian dish. Also as tea, lemongrass is an absolute treat.
Sowing & cultivation: Because lemongrass requires germinate temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees, sowing should be done in a pot. The appropriate time for sowing is from the end of January to the beginning of March. To do this, fill the pot with soil, scatter the seeds on it and cover wirth a little bit compost. After germination you should transplant the small plants to a sunny, bright place on well-drained soil. For this purpose, a permeable, humus-free soil is most suitable. It would be recommendable to mix a little bit of the ground with sand and gravel.
