Cress Kraus (Curly) Seeds
Info: The frizzly cress is the typical small-leaved cress for the windowsill. It is fast-growing and has a spicy-piquant taste. Grown up, it forms large, curly leaves. This cress is best used fresh for cold spreads, especially those based on fresh cheese, for salads and sandwiches, egg dishes and as agarnish. Cress has a high vitamin C content and is rich in calcium.
Sowing & cultivation: Seeds can be sown all year round in pots, seed trays or on cotton wool. Seeds can be sprinkled over the soil surface. Do not cover with soil and keep the seeds permanently moist. Thin out the seedlings if they are too close. Garden cress should not grow too tall or lanky before cutting. A height of 5 cm is about right. The cress will be ready for harvesting about seven days after sowing in summer and in winter eleven days.
