Cress American Seeds
Info: American Cress, also called Land Cress, is similar in habit to water cress and has a hot, spicy watercress flavour. It can be grown outdoors from March and it takes about 2 months to harvest. As it requires less water than watercress, it is easier to cultivate. You can use it raw in sandwiches or salads, cooked like spinach or in soups and hot dishes as a spice.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow thinly from March to August directly into finely raked, moist, warm soil at a depth of 6mm in rows 15cm apart. Thin seedlings to about 20 cm between plants removing any competing weed seedlings. Grows best in partial shade in well cultivated moisture retentive soil. Water well during periods of dry weather. Pick over regularly to encourage fresh growth.
