Oregano Greek Seeds
Info: Greek Oregano is the classic culinary oregano, considered the best for cooking, especially for the Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine. It is easy to grow as long as the soil is well drained and they have a sunny and sheltered position. The plants are perennial, vigorous and very hardy, with darker green foliage. They grow to a height of around 60cm, are extremely drought-tolerant and have white flowers.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow indoors in spring to plant out in summer or from May outdoors. Do not cover the seed as it needs light to germinate, and water from below. Oregano`s fertiliser needs are minimal and often nonexistent. Keeping the plants clipped improves the taste of the leaves and will produce a bushier plant and keeps foliage succulent. The flavour is most intense just before the plant blooms.
