Info: Chamomile is a german heirloom and has been used as a medicinal herb for thousands of years in Europe. The chamomile blossoms have anti-inflammatory, disinfecting, relaxing, cramping and sweat-absorbing effects. Make yourself a cup of tea from fresh chamomile flowers as a healing against bloating, stomach and intestinal cramps, colds and mucous membrane infections. It is also used as rinses or bath additive for treating wounds, inflammations and colds.
Sowing & cultivation: Sow outdoors from April / Mayoutdoors after last frost. Seeds need light to germinate so cover with a thin layer of soil. Maximum 25 plants per m², at a distance of 20 cm per plant. The blossoms occur from May / June until September. The chamomile is quite unpretentious, it needs a sunny location on permeable, lime-rich soil. Only moderate to little watering.
