Tansy Seeds
Tansy Seeds
Info: The tansy, also known as wormwort, is a very widespread plant of the sunflower family in Central Europe. The strongly overgrown and perennial plant reaches a height of 60-130 cm. It has very fragrant, dark green, elongated leaves. The plant is full of essential oils (thujone, borneol and camphor) and other bitter substances. The leaves and flowers contain insect-repellent ingredients and were used to reduce potato beetle infestation. The dried form of tansy is used in beekeeping as a fumigant. However, some varieties can also be used as ornamental plants.
