German Orange Strawberry Tomato Seeds
Info: The German Orange Strawberry tomato is an orange coloured beefsteak tomato with fruits of up to 500 g that have a beautiful heart or strawberry shape. The tomatoes have a lot of fruit flesh and very few seeds. They have little acidity and are very flavourful. They are suitable for fresh consumption, for cooking, or as a splash of colour in salads. The high-yielding plants grow up to 1,8 metres high and the shoots should be regularly pinched off.
Care: You can grow the German Orange Strawberry tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
