Muchamiel Tomato Seeds
Info: The Muchamiel tomato is a traditional, Spanish beefsteak tomato with a name meaning "much honey". The plants are very high yielding and disease-resistant. They develop very firm, very large (up to 1000 grams), fleshy and juicy fruits. The tomatoes are slightly ribbed, and when ripe can also have green streaks or a green back. White externally they are not especially beautiful, their flavour has it all: they are intensely flavourful with a balanced sweetness and sourness, and a fruity note. In southern Spain they are enjoyed sliced with some sea salt and olive oil.
Care: You can grow the Muchamiel tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
