Ponderosa Yellow Tomato Seeds
Info: The Ponderosa Yellow tomato is a yellow, medium-sized, juicy beefsteak tomato with a large proportion of fruit flesh and few seeds. The fruits are slightly flattened and ribbed, and have a mild, sweet flavour with little acidity. Due to their cut-resistance and thin skin, they are suitable for salads, as well as cooking and preserving. The plants are strong-growing and can reach a height of up to 2.40 metres. As they are also very high yielding, it is appropriate to support the branches.
Care: You can grow the Ponderosa Yellow tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
