Pantano Romanesco Tomato Seeds
Info: The Pantano Romanesco Tomato is a classic, traditional beefsteak tomato from Italy. The fruits ripen to a bright red, are flat-round and slightly ribbed. They contain a relatively large amount of seeds and weigh up to 250 g. On the top side there may still be green sprinkles, even when fully ripe. The tomatoes are cut-resistant and very flavourful with a sweet and spicy taste. This variety makes a superb tomato sauce, but also tastes great when fresh.
Care: You can grow the Banana Legs tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
