Vintage Wine Tomato Seeds
Info: The Vintage Wine Tomato is a real eye-catcher in the garden with its beautiful yellow-pink-orange marbled fruits. The beefsteak tomatoes are flat-round and grow up to approx. 300 to 500 g in weight. They are sweet and tasty with a nice and mild flavour that compliments most dishes. The plants are very prolific producing five or even six trusses - and each truss usually being three or four large fruits. For best yields and size of fruit - stop at 4th truss and provide rain protection if growing outside.
Care: You can grow the Vintage Wine tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
