Charlie Chaplin Tomato Seeds
Info: The Charlie Chaplin tomato is a savory and very unique beefsteak tomato. The fruits are round to pear-shaped, ruffled to deeply-lobed and have a very good flavour, fruity and slightly sweet, like many heirloom tomatoes. Although the physical characteristics may change, the production and flavor is always very good. The plants are medium sized (up to 180 cm), diesease resistant and can also cope with a few days of rain and cooler temperatures. It is excellent for stuffing, as well as for preparing sauces or cut them into decorative slices to grab your guests attention and tastebuds.
Care: You can grow the Charlie Chaplin tomatoes inside the house, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C, and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up the germination process if you leave the seeds to soak overnight in a damp cloth. You should wait until after the last frost to plant your chosen plants.
Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilised, permeable soil which is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, protected place with at least 6 hours of sunlight - preferably more.
